I have always been interested in art and have worked in a variety of mediums; charcoal, painting, sculpture, and photography. In 2004 I began using photography as my main artistic medium. I use film and traditional darkroom processing to produce my images. I prefer the hands on aspect of the traditional darkroom process and the richness of the results. There is something special about creating the final image as a hands on original.
I primarily use black and white or other monochrome for my work. To me, form and structure are enhanced when color does not dominate the image. I am fascinated by all of the interrelated shapes, forms, and textures in the world around me. My current focus on nudes comes from my interest in amazing forms, shapes, patterns, moods, and emotions, the human body can convey.
